Director of Education

Dr John Gallagher was the Course Director for Postgraduate Programs in Public Relations at the Dublin Institute of Technology. The academic programs for which he had responsibility are recognised and internationally certified by the Chartered Institute for Public Relations in the United Kingdom and the Public Relations Society of America in the United States. Formerly Communications Manager at Dublin Airport working for Aer Rianta, now known as the Dublin Airport Authority, he worked as an in-house public relations specialist for nearly twenty-five years with the exception of two periods when he served on secondment as advisor to the Irish Minister for Justice and the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs. He is a member of the CEPR Examining Board for the PRSA, a life fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, and the External Examiner for Business Communication Courses at the Institute of Technology-Dundalk. He is also a member of the Board at the Aviate Credit Union, based at Dublin Airport.
